Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta Releases New Song “Spilled Blood Never Dries” Featuring Crowbar’s Kirk Windstein
Who knows whether or not there will ever be another Kingdom of Sorrow album, but at least now we have a new Kingdom of Sorrow song, even if it’s not called Kingdom of Sorrow: “Spilled Blood Never Dries,” the latest single from Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta’s Jasta Featuring Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed, reunites the vocalist with his KoS cohort Kirk Windstein (also of Crowbar fame, duh). It’s a cool song, if not quite cool enough to make me forget that the central metaphor makes no sense. I mean, spilled blood definitely dries, unless you spill it into another form of liquid. Or maybe it’s a facetious analogy? Is there such a thing? I dunno. Maybe I’m just not the sharpest flat in the song.
Listen to “Spilled Blood Never Dries” below. Jasta’s new album, The Lost Chapters, Volume 2, comes out December 13. Pre-order it here. Other guests on the album include Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage), Matt Heafy (Trivium), George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), Max Cavalera (Soulfly), Howard Jones (Light the Torch), Tommy Victor (Prong), Billy Graziadei (Biohazard), Phil Rind (Sacred Reich), Zoli Teglas (Ignite), and Frankie Palmeri (Emmure).
