Metallica, Deftones, Gojira + More Set for 2020 Epicenter Festival
The annual Epicenter Festival in North Carolina has announced the full lineup for its 2020 incarnation, and the three-day affair will feature a slew of excellent bands alongside Metallica, who previously announced they’d headline two of the festival’s three nights with completely different sets (they’ll be doing the same at four other American festivals next summer as well).
While Metallica will headline on Friday and Sunday, Disturbed will do the honors in between on Saturday. Other bands scheduled include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deftones, Godsmack, Volbeat, Staind, Papa Roach, David Lee Roth, Gojira, Chevelle, Cypress Hill, Rancid, Royal Blood, Anthrax, Dropkick Murphys, I Prevail, Alter Bridge and many more. Jinjer, Brutus, Clint Lowery, 3Teeth, Toothgrinder and Code Orange are a few bands whose names catch my attention from farther down the billing. You can view the entire lineup on the poster above.
I would like to take a moment to single out one of those acts: David Lee Roth! Whoa. Could a solo band comeback be in the works? More on this later today.
Back to Epicenter: the fest will take place on May 1, 2 and 3 at Rock City Campgrounds at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. Tickets are available now, right here, starting at $189.50 for full-weekend general admission.
