Protest the Hero Selling Guitars, Stage Banners, Video Props, and More
With the band’s new album now complete and set for a 2020 release, PTH have a “need to clear out the old to make room for the new.” To that end, they’re now auctioning off a ton of shit from the past fifteen years of their existence on eBay. These include guitars, stage backdrops and cab covers from various tours, and props from some of their music videos, like the finger puppets of the band that were created for their “Underbite” clip, or some of the flying monkey costumes they wore in the “Heretics and Killers” vid.
If you’re a PTH die-hard with some expendable income, buying yourself a little sumpin’-sumpin’ is pretty much a no-brainer. But this should make the decision even no-brainier: 15% of the proceeds are going to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. And even if you’re a sociopathic asshole who doesn’t care about cancer treatment, “the rest will be used to pay for the final stages of the new album (mixing, mastering, celebration in Vegas…and most importantly, a new camera),” so you can think of your contribution as crowdfunding.
