Report: Black Crowes Will Reunite in 2020 for Shake Your Money Maker 30th Anniversary Tour
Rumors have been swirling for weeks that The Black Crowes are planning a reunion run for 2020. The band recently wiped their official Facebook page clean, suggesting they have a big announcement planned, although no official word has come down. But a new report has lent some credence to those rumors and provided some possible specifics.
Dirty Rock Magazine shared an image on Twitter and Facebook of what appears to be a show poster advertising two gigs, one on July 17 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey and the other on July 18 at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, both easily accessible via public transportation or drive from New York City. The poster touts that the band will be performing their 1990 album Shake Your Money Maker in full “plus all the hits.” Live Nation and Ticketmaster’s logos are in view on the bottom. It’s not clear where the photo was taken.
The Black Crowes last performed live in 2014, and the financial incentives behind a 30th anniversary tour in celebration of their biggest album are likely enough for the Robinson brothers to temporarily put their contentious relationship aside.
