Chris Jericho and Donald Trump Jr. are Pals
Maybe you enjoyed watching Chris Jericho inside the squared circle in his prime, pummeling his opponents onto the mat. Perhaps you’ve followed his pivot into metal, where he fronts the hard rock band Fozzy. Maybe you even like his music, but certainly not because he could beat you up if you say you don’t.
Welp, if you had any amount of respect for Jericho for any or all of that, I hope you’re ready to throw it out the window: the dude is an unabashed Trumper. The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., appeared on a soon-to-be-released episode of Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast to promote his new book Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us.
Trump Jr. posted a photo on Twitter of the two looking all buddy buddy:
I guess it shouldn’t come as a shock that a pro wrestler is a fan of Donald Trump. And hey, maybe you’re one of those “separate from the art from artist” types who can go on appreciating Jericho’s work while not endorsing his political beliefs. Still, I’d find it really hard to respect anyone who believes our president’s routine practices of locking children in cages, discriminating against everyone who isn’t straight and white and routinely breaking the law is OK. That would be if I liked Jericho’s music in the first place. Thankfully I don’t, so it’s not an issue.
Sorry, Jericho fans… I’m sure this one stings. But hey, at least he has the endorsement of one of America’s greatest shitbags as “a really cool dude!” And, don’t worry, he’s not at all tone deaf with regards to why people are so upset (thanks to Rob @ Metal Injection for this last part):
