Sevendust’s Clint Lowery Announces New Solo Album, Releases First Single

Hot on the heels of the news that Sevendust are recording their next album, one of that band’s guitarists, Clint Lowery, has announced a new solo album: God Bless the Renegades will come out January 31 on Rise Records. And if the first single, “Kings,” is any indication, it’s gonna be 7Delicious.

I don’t mean to imply that Lowery is Sevendust — the absence of important ingredients to that band’s success, like vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and drummer Morgan Rose, is keenly felt. But the music is still distinctly Sevendust-esque in the best possible way: melodic, catchy, and foot-stompingly aggro. I just cannot imagine anyone who like Sevendust not being way into this. It certainly makes me excited to check out the rest of God Bless the Renegades.
