Emmure, Erudite as Ever, Return with New Song “Pigs Ear”

Emmure’s new song is called “Pigs Ear.” It should probably be called “Pig’s Ear,” as in the ear of a single pig, or “Pigs’ Ears,” as in the ears of multiple pigs. I have no idea what “Pigs Ear” means. It may be a reference to the general shape of the “E” in the Emmure logo. But I keep imagining someone with a cockney accent saying “pigs hear.” As in, “Even pigs hear that Emmure’s music is terrible.”

Says frontman Frankie Palmeri of the track, which actually contains the lyric “The perfect example of what to not do with your life”:

“Hindsight is 2020.”

Thanks, Frankie. Eloquent as always.

(Normally, I’d speculate that this is actually Frankie “cleverly” alerting fans that Emmure’s new album, which is due in 2020, will be called Hindsight, because “2020” is a year and “20/20” is a classification of visual acuity. But when it comes to Mr. “Pigs Ear,” who the fuck ever knows?)
