CONFIRMED: Rage Against the Machine Are Reuniting in 2020

Update, 11:55 A.M.: Forbes has now confirmed the rumor with Wayne Kamemoto, a longtime associate of the band. Rage Against the Machine will return in 2020!

Take this with a grain of salt for now, but: a new, unverified Rage Against the Machine Instagram account has suggested that the band will reunite to play at least five shows next year. If true, it would mark the band’s first time performing together since 2011.

The account has only one post as of this writing — a photo taken from the ongoing Chilean protests (certainly a RATM-friendly cause if ever there was one), along with the following dates (the last two of which are both for Coachella, FYI):

El Paso, TX March 26, 2020
Las Cruces, NM March 28, 2020
Phoenix, AZ March 30, 2020
Indio, CA April 10, 2020
Indio, CA April 17, 2020

You can keep an eye on tickets for the reunited Rage Against the Machine here.

Although Morello shared the same image earlier this week, it did not include the above tour dates, and none of the band’s other socials have been updated accordingly. Which ain’t a great sign that this is legit.

Having said that…

The PRP notes that actress/singer Juliette Lewis, who is currently dating Rage drummer Brad Wilk, has given the post a like. So maybe it is real? Or maybe she just appreciates how much people love her BF’s band.

Presumably we’ll know one way or the other soonish.
