Video: Newlywed Couple Enters to Babymetal Song
Metal weddings have been all the rage these past few weeks, whatwith the Slayer wedding mosh pit and a Hatebreed cake-cutting ceremony making headlines.
Now a recently married Japanese couple decided to utilize a song by their country’s greatest metal export, Babymetal, as the entrance music for their first appearance as newlyweds. What’s more, the couple reenacted the very same intro sequence for “Road of Resistance” that the band performs live, hoisting flags up into the air in a choreographed routine as they entered the reception hall (one flag says “God Metal” instead of Babymetal — not sure what that’s about — although it’s stylized the same way). It’s a helluva way to make an entrance.
Check out video of this most glorious wedding celebration below. Congratulations to the bride and groom! We’ll update this post if we’re able to suss out their identities.
Babymetal have live shows planned in Japan in November and in Europe and the U.K. in February, 2020. Get dates and tickets here.
