Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Release Two Full Watchmen Tracks
The only motivation you should need to pre-order Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ three-volume vinyl Watchmen score is the fact that it’s by Reznor and Ross. If for some reason you doubt that the duo have brought their usual high standard of quality to the HBO show of the Damon Lindelof sequel to the Alan Moore/Dave Gibbons graphic novel, I highly recommend checking out the first episode, which aired last Sunday. It’s spectacular, and almost certainly not what anyone — even the most ardent of Watchmen fans — was expecting.
BUT… if you don’t automatically think “Reznor and Ross = Take My Money,” AND you’re one of the ten people who doesn’t have a friend’s HBO password, you can now listen to a pair of full tracks below — the music that plays over the end credits and, uh, some other music. It’s all friggin’ great.
Assuming you like what you hear, you can pre-order the trilogy of Watchmen vinyls here. The first one will be released on November 4, with the others set to follow on November 25 and December 16.
