It’s nearly Halloween, which means it’s time for the latest annual release from Crypticus. The band consists entirely of Denver’s Patrick Bruss, but you’d be hard-pressed to tell it was only one dude from the brutal death metal racket he unleashes. His latest horror-obsessed opus showcases his CHUD-deep death growls and knack for slicing off sick riffs. Throw in some sinister Frizzi-inspired synths and you have a recipe for some grotesque gore metal. His previous releases earned him fans like The Black Dahlia Murder’s Trevor Strnad.
