Slipknot Commemorate the Fifth Anniversary of .5: The Gray Chapter by Sharing Unused Cover Art
Slipknot’s .5: The Gray Chapter came out five years ago this month, and to celebrate the occasion, Clown has unveiled an alternate cover design that was eventually discarded (although it’s not that different from the final cover). According to the world’s #1 enemy of empty beer kegs, “This cover was a strong contender for the final album artwork, and represents where my head was at during the making of this album.” He does not say why it was ultimately scrapped, but I assume it’s because Corey Taylor thought it wasn’t cool enough.
