Marilyn Manson Releases Cover of Johnny Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”

“God’s Gonna Cut You Down” is one of those Johnny Cash songs that everyone knows because it was in a thousand different advertising campaigns. I assume that’s how Marilyn Manson became aware of it; if he was actually a fan, he might have covered one of the 800 Johnny Cash songs that hasn’t been beaten to death with a tire iron.

In any case, Manson’s cover of the track sounds more or less exactly like the original, only now with intolerable vocals. There’s also some slide guitar near the end.
