Lacuna Coil Are on the Cover of Batman
Say, did you know that ‘Batman’ in Italian is ‘Batman’? Neither did I. I just found that out. Just now. I wanted to come up with a clever Batman-in-Italian joke, but no. There is none to be made.
The reason I was looking for such a gag is because Lacuna Coil have revealed that they’re going to be on the cover of the Italian edition of Batman #68, which will be out October 21:
Even as a Bat-nerd, I’m having a hard time figuring out the context here. Batman #68 came out in the U.S. months ago, and had nothing to do with The Batman Who Laughs (the villain pictured holding the band) or the DC Metal event from which that character originated. But I see that the Italian cover credits not just current Batman writer Tom King, but also Peter J. Tomasi and Scott Lobdell, who do not write Batman but did contribute to the aforementioned Metal event. So maybe in Italy Batman #68 is part of that. You’d think they’d have the same exact issue numbers as we do, just with the text translated into Italian, but no, apparently it’s a whole other thing over there. Interesting!
Ladies I know it’s hard to believe but I am currently single.
