Here’s a Bluegrass Cover of Megadeth’s “Symphony of Destruction”
Dan Davidson (no relation) is a Canadian country music artist with a gold record, two top 20 singles, two more in the top 40 and a #1 record on iTunes who has played over 200 shows in seven countries and has toured with some of todays most well-known country acts.
He is also a die-hard metalhead who grew up playing rock and metal. He only gravitated towards bluegrass later in life, telling MetalSucks, “I couldn’t believe the precision, the rawness, and the spirit of it all. I equate it to the ‘shred’ of country – for some reason it gives me that same feeling – so much energy. Ive been obsessed ever since.”
To pay it back to the music that first influenced him, Davidson has released a cover of Megadeth’s “Symphony of Destruction,” together with an entertaining, tongue-in-cheek video. Have a listen and a look below, and find out more about Dan on his official website.
