Watch: Iron Maiden’s Janick Gers Accidentally Launches His Guitar into the Crowd

Poor Janick Gers! The guitarist is already the most unfairly derided member of Iron Maiden… and this klutzy moment probably won’t put a stop to that.

Maiden are on tour right now (tickets!), and Gers was swinging his guitar around by its neck, as he’s wont to do, during a recent show in San Antonio, TX, when, uh… well, this happened:

Cue Nelson laugh! More like Janick BUTTERFINGers, amiriteoramirite?

Given the frequency with which Gers does this exact thing, and the fact his hands must get sweaty hoppin’ around for hours under those lights, the most surprising thing about this is that it doesn’t happen more often. Small sacrifice to make for helping to put on one of the best live shows in the world, though!
