Tommy Lee’s New Solo Album to Include Klezmer, Polka, and Black Metal Songs
When he’s not showing people his dick or collecting his Father of the Millenium awards, Tommy Lee is a drummer. He used to be in this cool band called Mötley Crüe but they broke up so now he’s going to make a solo album. And while one might assume that said solo album would lean towards rock, Lee tells Billboard that the record will include “literally every single different genre [of music] that you could imagine.”
Which, I have to admit, makes me really, really excited to hear the album. I mean, I’m sure it will be incredibly long — it would have to be, to include literally every single different genre that you could imagine — but if the idea the guy known for “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Dr. Feelgood” trying his hand at zydeco, gospel, and dubstep doesn’t pique your curiosity, well, you live a sad life indeed.
Tommy should be applauded for his willingness to expand his creative horizons. If only more musicians were so adventurous.
