A Budapest Arena Left a Rammstein Song Blasting All Night, Annoying Locals

0

Whichever employee left Rammstein’s “Deutschland” blasting all night long at the currently under-construction Puksas Arena in Budapest deserves a friggin gold medal. The lead single from Rammstein’s latest album cranked through the street surrounding the arena through the night, much to the chagrin of neighbors who had to put up with Till Lindemann’s sexy voice for hours on end.

The official party line from the arena, which issued a formal apology to residents of the area on Facebook, is that there was “a technical error,” and that “Necessary steps have been taken to ensure that such a case does not happen again.” But I can imagine no scenario in which this stunt was anything other than a prank pulled off by an employee with a solid sense of humor and a healthy love of Rammstein. Well done, whoever you are!

A translation of the arena’s apology reads:

“From Monday to Tuesday, there was an unpleasant noise from Monday to Tuesday, which was caused by a technical error, according to the contractor.

“The Entrepreneur has taken the necessary steps to ensure that such a case does not happen again.

“We are sure that the world-Class Rifle Arena, which will be prepared by mid-November and the new, organized green surface around it, will make up for the residents.

“For the inconvenience caused, we apologize to the residents of the surrounding streets!”

Rammstein have a massive European tour booked for next summer; get tickets here!
