Danzig: “No More Misfits Shows Except for MSG”

Our friend D.X. Ferris might have gotten the number of shows the reunited Misfits would play wrong (although not that wrong), but he seems to have totally nailed it with his prediction of which Misfits gig would end this chapter of the band’s career: it’ll be their Madison Square Garden concert, which is set to take place on October 19 (tickets).

Danzig himself broke the news during an interview at the premiere of Rob Zombie’s new movie (below), 3 from Hell, stating simply,  “No more Misfits shows, except MSG.”

While this news is a bummer — I saw the band play last year, and they were great! — it’s not unexpected. As reported by Mr. Ferris (on behalf of MetalSucks) in June, the legal settlement between Danzig and Jerry Only called for just ten reunion shows — and MSG will already be the twelfth. Plus, Danzig said the whole thing was winding down just a week after our story went live.

My advice? If you wanna see these guys, get your ass to Madison Square Garden next month.
