Exmortus Debut New Song “Swallow Your Soul”
As promised, today Exmortus have premiered “Swallow Your Soul,” one of two new tracks from their forthcoming EP, Legion of the Undead. Although one could argue that a healthy percentage of all metal is “horror-themed,” Undead is touted specifically as being “horror-themed.” Thus, the Friday the 13th debut of a song that takes its title from one of the most entertaining scenes in the history of horror cinema.
The song itself is an appropriately malevolent-sounding deathrash ditty with guitars like razor blades, drums like landmines, and vocals like my Uncle Maury’s stomach after dairy. If the pre-solo bridge (1:33) doesn’t make you wish your right hand was a chainsaw, you live a sad life and I feel bad for you.
