Here’s the New Korn Song, “Can You Hear Me”
Wanna know something that really bothers me? The current trend of leaving off periods from the final sentence of tweets and text messages. All the other sentences in your thought were good enough for a period… so why not the final one? It’s usually not a character limit issue either, as oftentimes these messages are a single sentence, maybe two. Use a damn period!
I’m reminded of this because Korn’s new song is called “Can You Hear Me,” no question mark. Is the song as lacking in quality as it is in punctuation? Surprisingly, no — of the three songs Korn have released so far from their upcoming album, The Nothing, this is the only one I’ve liked, which is saying something because I’ve never been a Korn fan. It’s a mid-paced jammer with a big, catchy, chorus that I’d liken most to the band’s classic slapper “Make Me Bad” which, incidentally, is one of the only other Korn songs I’ve ever really enjoyed.
But don’t take it from me; listen below! And then listen to the previous singles “Cold” and “You’ll Never Find Me.” Pre-order The Nothing here in advance of its September 13 release. Korn are launching a podcast series for The Nothing as well, which is teased in the below video.
