Video: Diary of a Metalhead at Bonnaroo with Whitney Moore
The annual Bonnaroo festival isn’t known for moshpits and stage-diving so much as peace, love, happiness and the sublime vibes of Phish. But the same Tennessee site where Bonnaroo is hosted is about to get a serious dose of brutality this fall when the inaugural Exit 111 Festival invades, featuring Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, Ghost, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Deftones, Lamb of God, Mastodon and more.
To see what the Bonnaroo experience would be like for a metalhead and to find out whether concertgoers were ready for the metal onslaught to come this fall, MetalSucks dispatched Whitney Moore to live amongst the Phish fans for a weekend and report back. After asking them to attempt to distinguish between metal sub-genres and having them do their best at guessing metal lyrics, Whitney had quite the experience as a metalhead at Bonnaroo and catalogued it all in a neat video diary for your viewing pleasure. Exit 111 takes place from October 11 through 13, 2019 in Manchester, TN. Tickets are on sale now!
