Unsane Now Sane, Break-Up
After 30+ years and seven albums, it would appear that Unsane have thrown in the towel.
Lambgoat reports that in a new interview with Equilibrio Precario, Unsane guitarist/vocalist Chris Spencer revealed that he will now be concentrating solely on his new band, Human Impact:
“I will not be playing in Unsane anymore. I’m super proud of what we accomplished, but I need to move on. I’d rather end it on a good note than be a slave to something that I’ve always loved.”
I’m sorry to admit that it’s been nearly ten years since I last saw Unsane live, but that show was, well… unsane! It’s a bummer to see them go. If you’re looking for a bright side to cheer you up, I’d suggest this: it’s always better to go out on top. You didn’t want Unsane turning into Slayer, did you? No, I didn’t think so.
