Dysrhythmia Announce New Album and Stream New Track
Time for celebratory cartwheels: New York’s own Dysrhythmia have announced that they’ll release their eighth album, Terminal Threshold, on October 4 via Translation Loss!
Here’s the album art, which is pretty goddamn dope if you ask me… it reminds me at once of Fantastic Planet and Yellow Submarine and also this one time I took LSD for seventeen days straight.
Will Terminal Threshold live up to the high expectations of Dysrhythmia fans? Based on the album’s first single, “Twin Stalker,” I’m inclined to guess that it will. The track has an undulating, anxious energy about it, like a centipede evading a predator. In typical Dysrhythmia fashion, it’s instrumental prog that demonstrates the band’s technical prowess but doesn’t require a PhD in musicology to appreciate.
You can check out “Twin Stalker” below, courtesy of Decibel (you should head over there, too, ’cause they have a good interview with guitarist Kevin Hufnagel to go along with the track premiere). You can pre-order Terminal Threshold here. The band also has nine live shows lined up in October, each with Behold… the Arctopus, many with Captured! by Robots as well. Get those dates at the bottom of this post!
