Stream Monolord’s Post-Apocalyptic Video For New Song, “The Last Leaf”
In anticipation of the release of Monolord’s upcoming album, No Comfort, the band has shared a second track, “The Last Leaf,” accompanied by a visually stunning post-apocalyptic video.
The video follows the story of a solitary character dressed in a unicorn suit (is the unicorn a metaphor for being alone? Uni-corn, one corn, solitary corn?) attempting to survive in an urban wasteland. All the while Monolord’s own brand of droning guitar and thunderous chugs play in the background, complementing the post-apocalyptic scenery and striking end to the video which you’ll have to witness for yourself.
“We’re thrilled to work with the brilliantly talented Björn Rallare on this video,” said the band, collectively. “He’s aced the difficult challenge of capturing the post-apocalyptic and apathetic atmosphere of the song. Hope you like it as much as we do.”
No Comfort is set for release on Septemeber 20 and can be pre-ordered here, and if you missed the first single, “The Bastard Son,” you can give it a listen here. After witnessing this masterpiece you’ll be glad to know that you can catch Monolord on their North American tour come November. Dates can be found at the bottom of the page.
