Ghost to Release Super-Duper-Extra-Special-Deluxe Edition of Prequelle
Remember a coupla weeks ago when FYE stores started listing a deluxe edition vinyl pressing of Ghost’s most recent album, Prequelle, but there was no announcement from the band that said deluxe edition vinyl was actually happening?
Well, guess what? The band has now announced that said that said deluxe edition vinyl is actually happening!
The super-duper-extra-special-deluxe edition of the record will be called Prequelle Exalted, and will be released on September 27. It’s pricey — ninety bucks — but the product description makes it sound like fans will get their money’s worth:
“Deluxe Collector’s Edition Packaging Includes: Limited Edition of 5K numbered copies worldwide 60-page arena tour photo book, hardbound and wrapped in black gator skin Four 12″x12″ live photo prints Exclusive die-cut ‘Prequelle ‘artwork with 12-page booklet featuring brand-new, mind-blowing illustrations ‘Prequelle ‘Limited Edition Transparent Orange with Black Smoke colored vinyl Bonus 7″ with two previously unreleased songs Ghost 7″ vinyl adapter.”
That bonus 7″ is especially interesting. When the Prequelle Exalted rumors began, FYE was also listing a 7″ featuring two new songs, “Kiss the Go-Goat” and “Mary on a Cross.” Presumably, this is that. Will the 7″ still be sold separately? Oh, but that I knew the answer. I’ll tell ya this: FYE ain’t listing it anymore.
