Lamb of God Added to Megacruise Lineup
Despite the cancellation of most of Megadeth’s gigs in 2019 due to Dave Mustaine’s ongoing battle with throat cancer, the inaugural Megacruise is still scheduled to set sail in October. The lineup was already sitting pretty as it is, boasting some of the biggest names in metal such as Anthrax, Testament, Corrosion of Conformity, and Death Angel. To make the situation even lovelier for all aboard, Lamb of God have just been added in as a second headliner, after Megadeth, of course.
Much to my disdain and the disappointment of many other LoG fans, Chris Adler is now officially out of the band and ex-Winds of Plague drummer Art Cruz, who has been drumming for the band since Slayer’s second leg of their farewell North American tour last year, will get to party it up in the Megacruise. Not that Cruz isn’t a talented player… we will just miss Chris. Adler, of course, at one point played in Megadeth.
The Megacruise will be departing out of Los Angeles on October 13th with a stop in San Diego before Ensenada, Mexico, so you can party it up in the city one day, roast on a beach in Mexico the next, and then circle back to L.A. on October 18th. That’s a full five-day party, and if you’re lucky you’ll even get to hang out with some of the band members. Don’t be creepy.
Limited cabins are still available and if you’ve got the money and the time, I say grab a Hawaiian shirt, slap some patches on that bad boy and do it! Tell Dave I said hello. Tickets can be purchased here.
