Slipknot’s “Unsainted” is the Theme Song for the Upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver
I haven’t paid attention to pro wrestling since about 1996, but I’m no hater: I have tons of respect for what the sport has become! It’s crazy entertaining and the performers are ridiculously athletic and skilled. There’s just only so much time in the day and I’ve got important bagel tweets to send out, ya know?
I tell you this because I honestly have no idea what this means: Slipknot’s “Unsainted” has been chosen as the new theme song for the WWE NXT TakeOver: XXV #NXTLOUD. Slipknot’s standalone 2018 single “All Out Life” was previously used as the theme song. Ghost Cult tells us that the event will also feature Underoath in some capacity.
But this much I do know, regardless of my ignorance of WWE specifics: wrestling and metal will continue their wonderful history of crossover appeal! Metalheads attending the event or tuning in will have plenty of opportunities to combine two of their passions at the exact same time. I’d imagine this is a lot like the excitement I feel when a major league baseball player comes to the plate with Van Halen blaring.
