Tool Post Mysterious Teaser Video
It’s been two and a half months since Tool announced their long-awaited new album would come out on August 30th, during which time Maynard has publicly and hilariously “feuded” with Justin Bieber but fans have gotten next to nothing from the band.
August 30th is now barely a month away, and Tool have still yet to release a single or provide any significant info about the album. The closest they’ve come is performing two new songs live, “Descending,” which they’ve been sprinkling into their set for years, and “Invincible,” which made its premiere earlier this summer.
Now it seems as if the Tool camp is finally ramping up its PR effort. Earlier this evening the band posted a 45-second long animated visual on their Twitter account consisting of the new album’s release date waving around on loop sandwiched between two iterations of the band’s name, which appears in a newly stylized format (perhaps an updated logo?).
Seems like only a matter of time before a new single hits the internet, radio and eardrums everywhere — this week, we’d guess. They can’t wait much longer!
Last week Tool began releasing their catalogue to streaming services, starting with their 1991 demo 72826.
Have a look at Tool’s tweet containing the new animated video teaser below, along with video of them performing “Invincible” earlier this summer.
