This Video of The Ghost Inside Fans Moshing to “Bohemian Rhapsody” is Everything
Just how triumphant was The Ghost Inside’s return to the stage this past weekend? Their first performance since the horrific 2015 bus crash that caused life-altering injuries to several members was absolutely electric, by all accounts, and I can think of no better example than this: video of the crowd fervently moshing and singing along to the classic Queen epic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” I’m guessing just minutes before the band took the stage.
It’s moments like these which capture an undeniably powerful crowd vibe that reaffirm my faith in humanity and make me think, ya know what, maybe things will be alright after all (see also: the impromptu Robyn dance party that erupted on an NYC subway platform after her show at MSG a few months back). Then I look at the news and remember everything is shit. But what is music for, if not an escape? The best is definitely the dude who screams “Two-step, motherfuckers!” just before the “Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening!” crescendo.
