You Can Hire Members of Slayer, Megadeth, Trivium and More to Record Personalized Videos on Cameo
In case you’re not familiar with Cameo, the quickly rising service offers anyone with a dollar and a dream the opportunity to “book personalized shoutouts from your favorite people,” with thousands of major and minor celebrities alike offering customized video messages for a set fee. Want Charlie Sheen to record a personalized video message wishing your boo a happy birthday? You can do that for $550. How about NFL great Troy Aikman? For $500 you can get him to talk trash to your fantasy football buddy.
Several well-known metal musicians have now joined Cameo, and their rates are considerably more affordable than the A-list celebrities above. With most falling in the $20-$70 range I don’t see myself purchasing one… but it would be pretty neat if, for example, you pooled some money together with a couple of pals and got Tommy Lee to tell your friend how much he sucks at drums (or how good he is, if you’re lame). Or if some MetalSucks haters hired Phil Labonte to record a video calling us SJW libtards and telling us to fuck off. J/k he’d probably do that for free!
Here are some notable metal musicians currently available for custom video recordings on Cameo along with the prices they’re charging. You can click through each link to see samples of the video messages they’ve recorded for fans and, if you dare, book your own:
