Eyehategod Drummer Aaron Hill Thanks Fans for Post-Attack Support, Shares a Photo of His Bloody Shirt
Eyehategod drummer Aaron Hill has taken to social media to thank fans for their support following an attack this week during which he was knifed and robbed while en route to a show in Mexico. The assault left Hill with a five centimeter (roughly two inches) wound on his left side.
Furthermore, Hill took special care to make sure no one tried to spin his attack into any kind of anti-Mexico sentiment, which is certainly admirable given the current political climate.
Writes Hill:
“I wanna thank everyone who’s reached out to send their love and support these last few days, it really means a lot to me and I thank you. I’m home and doing well. I also wanna thank everyone at Foro Independencia and Show No Mercy for their help and a special thanks to everyone in attendance for showing up and understanding why we had to cancel. I don’t blame anyone for the incident as this could’ve happened anywhere and I don’t agree with any negative comments about Mexico. I think Mexico is a beautiful place with great people and I look forward to returning and playing again See you all soon ❤️❤️❤️ -Aaron”
Hill also shared the below photo of the shirt he was wearing at the time of the attack, which is bloodied from his knife wound:
MetalSucks is glad to hear that Hill is on the mend and wishes him all the best.
