Devourment Release New Love Ballad “Narcissistic Paraphilia”
Few things bring me as much joy as learning new words. Come to think of it, that’s probably why I first got into Carcass. But today I owe thanks to Devourment, whose new song, “Narcissistic Paraphilia,” has taught me that the second word in that title is “a type of mental disorder characterized by a preference for or obsession with unusual sexual practices, such as sadomasochism or exhibitionism.”
In other words: “Narcissistic Paraphilia” is a love song!
Dim the lights, get in the mood, and check out “Narcissistic Paraphilia” below. The band’s new album, Obscene Majesty, comes out August 16. Pre-order it here. It marks the return of drummer Brad Fincher and vocalist Ruben Rosas, both of whom appeared on the band’s 1999 debut, Molesting the Decapitated.
