Workaholics‘ Jillian Bell Is the Latest to Join the Cast of Bill & Ted Face the Music
Bill & Ted Face the Music, which is fast becoming the only thing we cover as much as Slipknot and Metallica, has added another notable comedic talent to its cast: Jillian Bell. The actress rose to prominence thanks to her role on Comedy Central’s Workaholics, but since has appeared in a number of larger Hollywood comedies, like 22 Jump Street and Rough Night. She’s currently in high demand thanks to her lead role in the critically acclaimed Brittany Runs a Marathon, which premiered at Sundance in January and will be released later this summer.
Deadline reports that Bell will play Dr. Taylor Wood, couples therapist to the families of Bill and Ted. And if the idea of Bill and Ted in therapy doesn’t already tickle you, I dunno, man, you may just be too hard to please.
Bell & Ted… er, Bill & Ted Face the Music is filming now in New Orleans. In addition to returning stars Keanu Reeves (Bill), Alex Winter (Ted), and William Sadler (Death), it stars Barry‘s Anthony Carrigan as “the duo’s relentless adversary,” rapper Kid Cudi in a mystery role, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Bill and Ted’s daughters, Billie and Thea, and Jayma Mays and Erinn Hayes as the princesses. It is being directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) and is scheduled for release on August 21, 2020.
