Bill & Ted Face the Music Begins Filming in New Orleans
It took almost thirty years, but it’s finally happening: they are making Bill & Ted 3, which is actually entitled Bill & Ted Face the Music. I mean, holy shit. If it makes money, I guarantee you we get a Wayne’s World 3 faster than you can say “Excellent.”
The news that Bill & Ted Face the Music has begun filming — meaning at this point something would have to seriously go wrong for it to not to find its way to our eyeballs — comes via a series of social media posts from stars Alex Winter (“Bill S. Preston, Esquire”) and William Sadler (“Death”), as well as Ed Solomon, who, along with Chris Matheson, wrote all three flicks in the franchise.

With the commencement of production on the latest Bill & Ted adventure also comes some important casting news: Jayma Mays (The Smurfs) and Erinn Hayes (Childrens Hospital) have been cast as Princess Joanna, Bill’s wife, Princess Elizabeth, Ted’s wife, respectively. Different actresses will now have played this parts in each movie. I can’t get confirmation that Mays and Hayes got the parts because someone found it hilarious that their names rhyme.
They join Barry‘s Anthony Carrigan as “the duo’s relentless adversary,” rapper Kid Cudi in a mystery role, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Bill and Ted’s daughters, Billie and Thea, and, of course, Winters, Sadler, and some dude named Keanu Reeves. The movie is being directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) and will be released August 21, 2020.
