Ozzy Osbourne Will Voice ‘King Thrash’ Character in the Movie Trolls World Tour
Update, 2:55 p.m.: There’s now a trailer for the movie, which includes a lil’ bit of “Crazy Train,” about two seconds of Van Halen’s “Eruption,” and a good amount of Scorpions’ “Rock You Like a Hurricane.” You can view it below.
Metal-lovin’ parents of the world, rejoice! A shitty movie your kid may wanna see will now be 2-3% less boring for you to sit through! For Ozzy Osbourne has been cast as one of the voices in Trolls World Tour, a sequel to 2016’s Trolls, the movie responsible for giving us that insufferable Justin Timberlake song about dancing and feelings that cannot be stopped.
Ozzy will play ‘King Thrash,’ father of ‘Queen Barb’ (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Rachel Bloom), “hard rock royalty” that seek to erase all forms of music that aren’t rock from the face of the earth. So you can teach your kids to demonize metal fans and musicians as villains at an early age!
Kidding aside, I’m sure this will be thrilling for Ozzy’s granddaughters, which is reason enough for him to do it, obvs.
In addition to returning cast members Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, Trolls Will Tour‘s cast includes George Clinton, Mary J. Blige, Chance the Rapper, and Kelly Clarkson. It comes out April 17, 2020.
