Soilwork Officially Release Underworld EP

Say, Soilwork’s most recent album Verkligheten was pretty great, eh? It’s as if any distinction between Soilwork and The Night Flight Orchestra has completely vanished other than growled vocals and the occasional heavy part, and you know what? That’s the best thing that could’ve happened to Soilwork right now. They needed a shot in the arm — the previous couple of albums hadn’t done anything to push the band’s sound forward and felt a bit tired — and Verkligheten finds the band not only exploring new territory, but doing so with aplomb. Well done, lads!

Today Soilwork have digitally released an EP titled Underworld consisting of some bonus tracks previously available only on the physical version of Verkligheten. It’s got three new tracks previously not available online plus the original version of the standard edition Verkligheten cut “Needles and Kin,” which featured Amorphis vocalist Tomi Joutsen on the album.
