Hear a Snippet of a Brand New Refused Song Called “Chippin’ In”

Refused’s most recent album, Freedom, will turn four years old later this month. “What’s four years when we previously waited seventeen?” I hear you asking. And that is a good point.

Still, whatwith Refused becoming an active band again it’s reasonable to expect it won’t be another 17 years until Freedom gets a follow-up. And with the band premiering a new song live last month called “Blood Red” — plus a clip of another new one in the trailer for the video game Cyberpunk 2077 — it’s a fairly safe assumption that another album from Refused is closer than we think.

The clip, from a song titled “Chippin’ In,” was featured at the E3 gaming convention this past weekend in a trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, which stars Keanu Reeves. You can hear it at the 3:50 mark in the below video, and you can stick around for a speech from our old friend Nu-Nu if you like. Track sounds like it’s got that patented Refused swagger and groove, eh? Hopefully we’ll get to hear the whole thing soon.
