Rob Halford Has Bronchitis, Judas Priest Show Canceled

Even the Metal God is showing signs of mortality: Judas Priest have been forced to cancel tonight’s show (June 5th) at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, CO as a result of Rob Halford coming down with bronchitis.

Maybe it was all that spirited cell phone swatting that wore him out.

The band issued a statement on Facebook last night announcing the cancelation:

“We are very sorry to say that Rob Halford has been fighting bronchitis for over a week and now doctors have told him he needs full rest so his voice can recover – therefore tomorrow’s Judas Priest concert at Broadmoor World Arena, Colorado Springs has unfortunately been cancelled. We did not want to cancel this show but Rob’s health must come first – we are so sorry to disappoint our fans but THE PRIEST WILL BE BACK to Colorado Springs at a later date – until then refunds for all tickets will be available at point of purchase.”

Judas Priest’s next scheduled show isn’t until Saturday, June 8th in Saskatoon, SK, meaning Halford will have four full nights before his next performance (including last night — the previous show was on June 3rd in St. Louis). Hopefully that’s plenty of time to get his body back in shape and his pipes up to speed.

Get well soon, Rob! In the meantime we expect as many posts on your A+ Instagram account as possible.
