Korn’s Brian “Head” Welch Jammed with Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee
Remember the time then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton slayed it on saxophone with the house band on The Arsenio Hall Show? That was pretty sweet, a fine display of musicianship and an iconic moment in American political history.
Not nearly as sweet, impressive or iconic: former Arkansas governor, one-time U.S. presidential candidate, conservative political commentator and general sack of shit Mike Huckabee recently jammed with Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch on his own TV show. The better musician here unsurprisingly ends up being Huckabee, who holds it down on the bass while Head hacks through the guitar parts in “Blind,” the dunderheaded simplicity of which is on full display here. And that is the nicest thing I have ever said or ever will say about Mike Huckabee, who should be banished to listening to Fieldy’s isolated bass tracks for eternity along with his shill of a daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
I’m surprised Head would agree to appear with Huckabee, but he’s got to promote his forthcoming documentary Loud Krazy Love somehow… and Korn have a rather sketchy track record when it comes to political associations anyway, as frontman Jonathan Davis once appeared on The Alex Jones Show and had some very, um, intriguing thoughts to share about then-President Barack Obama.
So as not to contribute to ad revenue for Huckabee, we’ve removed the video embed from this post (it was included in an earlier version). You can find it on the internet if you wish.
