Karl Logan: Former Manowar Guitarist Detained in Jail Following Hearing on Child Pornography Charges
Former Manowar guitarist Karl Logan made his first court appearance on Tuesday, as scheduled, following his arrest last August on six counts related to possession of child pornography.
Blabbermouth now reports that following that appearance, “the federal magistrate judge ordered Logan detained until his next hearing,” which may occur today (May 30). His new booking photo is above.
Blabbermouth also says that Logan “has not formally entered a plea in the case and he may not do so for months.”
Earlier this week, Logan’s attorney, Brad Smith, told WSOC-TV that the guitarist has been “extremely cooperative with the investigation,” while also suggesting Smith that “there could be an explanation” for Logan’s alleged crimes: “You oftentimes do see with those that do end up pleading, there’s a direct correlation to something that happened in their childhood.”
Since his arrest, Manowar have parted ways with Logan and replaced him with E.V. Martel, who used to play in a Manowar tribute band.
