Video: Daenerys Storms King’s Landing, but to Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls”

MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR THE MOST RECENT EPISODE OF GAME OF THRONES. IF YOU’RE NOT ALL CAUGHT UP, DO NOT READ THIS. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

This past Sunday’s penultimate episode of HBO’s George RR Martin’s David Benioff & DB Weiss’ Game of Thrones was a fucking DOOZY, to put it mildly. Entitled “The Bells,” the episode basically saw Daenerys Targaryen lose her goddamn motherfucking shit and barbecue King’s Landing — innocent bystanders and all.

Given the episode’s title and subject matter, it’s not entirely surprising that an enterprising YouTuber, Danny Peck, has now set the sequence in which Dany (and, subsequently, a substantial portion of her army) goes full Yngwie on everyone to Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls.”

In the description for the video, Mr. Peck notes that he “Just picked the starting point and let it roll. It’s amazing how well it works.” Indeed, this is like The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wizard of Oz. Only completely fucking terrifying.
