Video: Machine Head’s Reunited Burn My Eyes Line-Up Performs “A Thousand Lies”
As previously reported, Machine Head’s reunited Burn My Eyes-era line-up has re-recorded that very album, and “plan[s] on dripping that out song-by-song.” A couple of weeks ago, they released “Davidian.” Now they’ve unveiled the new version of “A Thousand Lies,” which you can check out below. Once again, Machine Head are not reinventing the wheel here so much as they’re just demonstrating that they can still play the fucking shit outta these songs 25 years after Burn‘s release. Not that anyone doubted they could pull it off: shows on the upcoming European Burn My Eyes tour has been selling out FAST, often within just a number of hours of going on sale. People. Are. Fucking. STOKED. For this.
If you don’t already have tickets, get the Burn My Eyes tour dates here, then go offer a scalper your first born and hope he can help out. In addition to BME-era members Logan Mader (guitar) and Chris Kontos (drums), the tour will also feature Machine Head’s new, yet-to-be-announced successors to Phil Demmel and Dave McClain, both of whom left the group last year. So this trek is destined to be something special. You definitely don’t wanna miss out!
