Eluveitie and Korpiklaani Announce Fall 2019 North American Tour

Korpiklaani and Eluveitie will be touring together in North America this coming fall on a co-headline run they’ve dubbed twander the Wanderers Towards Rebirth tour ((Kulkija ad Ategnatos), a combination of the names from each band’s most recent album. The press copy announcing the tour describes Korpiklaani as “Finnish folk metal superstars” and Eluveitie as “death-infused folk-metal,” both of which may be factually correct but made me chuckle nonetheless for their over the top press-copyness. Gone in April, with whom I’m not familiar, will open all shows. Bring your drinking horns along, ’cause this one’s sure to be a raucous, fist-pumping, beer-swilling folk metal party.
