Synthwave Sunday: Fury Weekend (Featuring Josh Money), “Savior”
Synthwave and electro-pop exist in parallel universes, so it’s no wonder that a combination of the two feels like an inevitable reunion with an estranged lover. Such is the case on “Savior,” the first collaboration between Fury Weekend and Josh Money, which mixes the modern sonic richness of synthwave with throwback vocals that would make Dave Gahan proud. The result is an undeniable smash that’s as likely to get your rump shaking on the dancefloor as it is to keep you crying in your bedroom all night long with a single candle for illumination and a bottle of cheap red wine to keep you company. In short: it’s dynamite.
