Stream Periphery’s New Album IV: Hail Stan a Week Before Its Release
Periphery’s new album Periphery IV: Hail Stan won’t come out officially until this Friday, April 5th, but for all intents and purposes it’s out now: the band has posted the whole thing for streaming nearly week ahead of its official unveiling date.
I’ve listened to the album a few times through over the past couple of months, and my favorite song remains “It’s Only Smiles,” a ballad (by Periphery standards) that’s as catchy a ditty as they’ve ever released with a giant-sized hook. I tend to like the band’s more poppy stuff best of all (I dig their heavy material, too) but I may be in the minority on that, so what do I know.
Catch Periphery on tour now with Dance Gavin Dance; dates here. Periphery IV: Hail Stan is being released by the band’s own 3DOT Recordings; order here.
