Drummer Gil Sharone Quits Marilyn Manson
Drummer Gil Sharone has announced his departure from Marilyn Manson. He first joined the band in 2014.
Sharone’s statement making the announcement, released on social media, is fairly boilerplate stuff, but it sounds like Sharone’s tenure with the group is ending amicably:
“After five amazing years playing drums for @marilynmanson, I’ve decided to leave the band. It’s been one of the highlights of my career but it’s time for me to pursue other current and future projects. Much love to @marilynmanson and the homies I shared the stage with; @jeordie @tylerbatesofficial @paulwileymm @j_alderete and to the fans. It’s been a blast.”
Presumably, a replacement for Sharone will be announced soon — after all, Manson begins a tour with Rob Zombie in July. May we suggest one of these fine percussionists, perhaps?
