Full Album Stream: East of the Wall, NP: Complete
We are so, so glad that East of the Wall are back! So thrilled that when the band approached us about premiering their new album, NP-Complete, we agreed faster than you can say “Fast-Bang Pooper Doop.”
East of the Wall’s music has always been endlessly complex yet startlingly accessible, and that’s no different on NP-Complete, as fine an entry in the band’s catalogue as they’ve written to date. Groaning, churning, progressive metal riffs combine with a post-hardcore sense of melody and barreling, big league drums before opening up to delicate, deliberate melodic passages; the dynamics on this record — even within songs — make for an enthralling listen that will never escape your attention despite the challenging arrangements and song structures. There’s no doubt that NP-Complete is written by musicians’ musicians, but it’s not just for them: it’s for everyone!
NP-Complete comes out on March 29 via Translation Loss; pre-order it here. The band has record release shows coming up in April in Brooklyn and New Jersey; dates here. Also don’t forget to check out the guest column the band put together for us in which they share their collective favorite metal t-shirts.
