Good Tiger Announce New EP, Redux; Release Video for “Float On”
Good Tiger are the brainchild of prog masterminds, and it shows. The band’s discography thus far, consisting of a pair of albums, provides us with all the tech-metal goodness one could ask for, complete with upbeat, eclectic and complex guitar licks. Featuring ex-members of Tesseract, The Faceless, and Architects, we expected no less after they successfully crowdfunded nearly $50,000 back in 2015 in order to release their debut album, Head Full of Moonlight. Under Metal Blade’s subsidiary, Blacklight Media, the band is coming in full throttle.
With the help of Periphery guitarist Jake Bowen (as if this band needed more notoriety) and other well-known musicians, Good Tiger are releasing a compilation of remixed songs on a new EP entitled Redux. Guitarist Dez Nagle says, “It was extremely fun revisiting these tracks and seeing how other artists we admire approach reimagining the original composition we had made on WWABG (We Will All Be Gone).” The new EP will be available for streaming on March 22nd.
However, if you can’t wait to get your fix on new material, the band has released a live session video for “Float On,” which you can stream below.
