Abiotic No Longer Catatonic
When the tech-death outfit Abiotic called it quits in 2016, I cracked wise about their “inevitable reunion.” What I obviously had no way of knowing was that the reunion would occur so soon.
“So soon” being now, in case that wasn’t obvious. The band has announced an eleven date reunion tour, set to kick off at the end of next month, with Cognitive, God of Nothing, and Greylotus also on the bill. They’ve also been posting regular studio updates on Facebook, and have even been teasing the possibility of debuting new material on the trek, so expect the band’s third album sometime soonish.
The way I see it, this ain’t nuthin’ but good news: the last album they released, 2015’s Casuistry, was a total ripper. Unless the band’s members have somehow managed to lose their talent during the ensuing hiatus, we oughta be in for a treat.
